Sales and Service Manager

We are looking for a Sales and Service Manager to join us in Morocco within Kalmar Business Area. The candidate shall lead market area sales and service activities. In addition we expect the selected manager to develop integrated business targets and executing plans aligned with company’s outline strategy together with sales and service operation teams. This position is accountable for overall sales achievement in the scope and leads market acquisition and retention strategies, in order to maximize sales growth and optimize profits to the Company. You will be based in
Casablanca and position requires extensive travelling, also on global level.  

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for Front Line operation and dealerships in Morocco.
  • Lead the activities of an operational unit (including most of the following activities: production, engineering, sales) in order to achieve its short and long-term strategic financial and operating objectives as set by the overall business plan.
  • Develop local marketing plans for the area in accordance with Kalmar strategy.
  • Set and monitor the performance of the unit against standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing and administration efficiency, cost control, sales revenue, legal compliance, and human resource management. 
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at senior management level to develop and implement business strategies that are aligned with the business objectives, and translate these into plans.
  • Lead development of global sales strategies, review and advice on policies – pricing, products mix, and brand portfolio. 
  • Pursue and develop concrete sales and service activities to maintain and increase the market shares.
  • Lead and develop the talents in the local organization by training and development, ensure retention of key persons.
  • Lead, guide, evaluate, and develop a team of senior managers to ensure that the unit achieves its business objectives and complies with all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Review and monitor sales performance, and refine sales strategies as required in discussion with companies within Group/Corporation. 
  • Works closely with Marketing counterparts, and creates collaborative environment for enhancing sales growth globally.
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
  • Establish clear and concrete individual targets for the members of the Kalmar management team in South Europe Market Area.
  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down 
  • Keep up high level of compliance with Cargotec Code of Conduct in a challenging environment.
What you need to succeed
Education:
  • University degree in business or technology or other relevant field of study
Experience:
  • 10+ years progressive experience in a key leadership/management role
  • Ideally experience in the industries
  • Experience of working in global and international business environment in a matrix organization
Competencies:
  • Result oriented
  • Strong financial skills
  • Understanding the basics of the contract law
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication and change management skills
  • Creative in finding solutions for customer requests

Site Maintenance Manager

Purpose of the position
We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic team player to join our organization. This position will play an important part in, and contribute to the success of our organization Kalmar Maghreb.
Candidate will also be responsible for assisting personnel in the field, with documentation, report of labor, work orders and inspections as well as training.  The candidate should also be able to understand the Kalmar Warranty process and be able to assist our dealer network in filing warranty claims. This position will be responsible for carrying out Technical. 

Main tasks and responsibilities
1.     Monitor and manage service employees’ day to day performance to ensure service quality standards and plan and ensure effective short-term resource planning to keep the utilization ratio on the acceptable level.
2.     Responsible for resource planning and manpower requirements within departments. Ensure service work is conducted in compliance with applicable regulations, and ensure accurate safety practices.
3.     Liaise with customers and third parties and support actively sales.
4.     Provide internal, accurate, professional documents (such as checklists and corrective action reports).
5.     Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of service technicians.Evaluate and assist with warranty claims
6.     Work with product engineering to develop solutions to operational problems in the field
7.     Assist personnel in the field with job related documentation
8.     Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
9.     Prepare estimates and proposals for service needs to satisfy customer requirements.
10. Take an active role in negotiations, assemble service project team and assign individual responsibilities.
11.  Identify appropriate resources needed for the project, and develop a schedule to ensure timely completion of the service project against deadlines.
12. Understand the scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Deliver project tasks and assure that projects are progressing as planned.
13. Responsible for basic project design and delivery according to the service contract.

The ideal candidate should have a customer focused approach and be a strong problem solver. They should possess strong communication skills, verbally and written, quality orientated, flexible and adaptable, as well as enthusiastic and self-driven. Participation in our 24hr call out rota is essential.
Ideally you have: 
  • Mechanical/Electrical engineering qualifications
  • Experience of heavy plant equipment
  • Experience working with hydraulic systems
  • Engineering degree level is preferrable 
  • PLC knowledge or experience and knowledge of Kalmar products is preferrable
  • Excellent IT literacy, numeracy and analytical skills
  • Able to read and follow electrical wiring diagrams  
  • Typically university (Bachelor’s degree) level
  • Vocational qualificationMinimum of 3 years experience in heavy industrial equipment
  • Preference will be given to those with advanced technical training and/or ports equipment experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and passport

Service Technician

Purpose of the position
Kalmar Maghreb within the leading global supplier of container & load handling equipment and services, is seeking a Electrical,Mechanical and automation technician for the Project Tangier med 2 familiar with Marine port operations. 
Service technician position will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair service to all brands of container handling equipment at customer locations, with a focus the electrical and mechanical components and equipment used in the Kalmar products.and third party brand.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Providing timely diagnostics/repair for the Kalmar product lines located in the field at customer sites.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled preventative maintenance
  • Ability to use hand, air and electrical tools; operate forklifts, small cranes and mechanical hoists as needed
  • Conduct product training for the customer and dealer technicians
  • Evaluate and assist with warranty claims
  • Work with product engineering to develop solutions to operational problems in the field
  • Assist personnel in the field with job related documentation
  • Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting of PLC and Electrical equipment
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical repair in all kind of container handling equipment
  • Ability to use instruments such as multimeter, ammeter, oscilloscope, and pressure gauges
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Comfortable working at elevated heights
  • Technical aptitude for heavy equipment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, dependability and initiative
We expect from you
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in heavy industrial equipment mechanical & electrical troubleshooting and equipment repairs including, Motors, Controls, PLC electronic control, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, structural and engine systems.
  • Must be able to reach blue prints and schematic drawings
  • Must feel comfortable and able to work safely at elevated heights, including several stories above the ground
  • Should possess a technical aptitude for heavy equipment; some knowledge of engineering is a plus.
  • ability to demonstrate an excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and french
  • Candidates must have the ability to communicate with individuals and/or groups consisting of dealer representatives, customer-end users and other technicians or service personnel.

Head Shift Service Technician position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervision of a team of service employees for providing maintenance and repair service to all brands of container handling equipment at customer locations, with a focus the electrical and mechanical components for all  container handling equipments.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Provide the technical support to team
  • Manage the team work and panning task assigned
  • Provide the daily report of daily activities.
  • Provide the solutions and analyze the breakdowns with teams to develop the equipment reliability
  • Providing timely diagnostics/repair for the Kalmar product lines located in the field at customer sites.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled preventative maintenance
  • Ability to use hand, air and electrical tools; operate forklifts, small cranes and mechanical hoists as needed
