Technical Manager et Technical Engineer
Technical
Manager – Morocco
The
Technical Manager – Morocco is a mid-level role, working in the sales team.
This is a regional role, based in Morocco and reporting to the Branch Manager.
The scope of the role covers Bridgestone entities in KSA, Egypt, Jordan and
Morocco.
The Technical
Manager – Morocco responsible both for commercial and consumer technical
activities, in line with the Bridgestone Group core values. The scope of the
role is to co-ordinate with Dubai HQ and the local sales team in branch to
provide technical knowledge and expertise on Bridgestone products. The role
works closely with the sales teams and support functions as required to improve
knowledge and understanding of products.
Main
Responsibilities
- Technical knowledge and understanding
- Responsible for providing technical
knowledge and understanding for commercial and consumer products.
- Works in partnership with
Dubai technical team.
- Responsible for area quality management
- Accountable for dealing with
local claims
- Undertakes analysis of claim
data, quality concern information and PL, and reports to the business on
the same.
- S&R information monitoring
- Ensures regular monitoring and
review of progress.
- Reports on the progress to the
business.
- Training
- Provides technical training on
products to local branch teams as well as distributor partners and fleet
team.
- Liaises with Dubai to ensure
training is accurate and current.
- Market survey
- Responsible for coordinating
market survey with Dubai and the sales team.
- Market survey covers:
operating condition, scrap tire survey, MSI, VOC Count Survey .
- Using the outcome of the
survey, provide relevant and timely information on product quality and
development to enhance sales team’s knowledge.
- Activities with Commercial business
- Conduct product planning
survey, including competitor’s tyre information and product power index.
- Activities for consumer business
- Work closely to support
technical team on the consumer OE distributor approach.
- Subject matter expertise
- This role is to support the
operational sales teams and ensure that subject matter expertise is
applied to enhance the benefits of Bridgestone’s products.

OTR
Technical Engineer – MWA
The Off the
Road (OTR) Technical Engineer is a mid to junior-level role, working in the
sales team.
This is a
regional role, based in Morocco and reporting to Field Engineering Team Leader
in Dubai. The scope of the role covers Bridgestone entities in West Africa and
Morocco.
The OTR
Technical Engineer completes off the road technical activities for customers,
in line with the Bridgestone Group core values. The scope of the role is to act
as a future ready “Solution Consultant”. In this capacity, the OTR provides
Bridgestone commodities and services to customers to help in maximizing market
share. The role also is responsible for collecting and analyzing customer and
distribution needs and provide necessary solutions. In addition there is a
strong focus on sales support and activity, to further enhance business
performance.
Main
Responsibilities
- Technical knowledge and
understanding
- Responsible for providing
technical knowledge and understanding for OTR products
- Able to effectively articulate
specifics in relation to customer and OTR department
- Works in partnership with
Bridgestone entities in Dubai, Europe and Japan technical teams.
- Responsible for understanding
product lineup
- Undertakes independent market
trend research
- Looks at demand and share,
competitor’s information and price positioning to ensure full
understanding of product lineup
- Field visits
- Periodically visit priority
customers
- Conduct technical activities
and collect relevant available data in the field
- Data Analysis
- Responsible for various
monitoring and analysis activities including:
- Performance monitoring
- Scrap survey
- Inventory checks at customer
sites
- Creating reports and sharing
information with relevant customers, stakeholders, Dubai office and BSJ.
- Becoming a solution consultant, thereby adding value for the customer, and increasing customer satisfaction.
- Give advice on correct and
best practice operation of products and services
- Work collaboratively with
customers to understand and provide most suitable tyre product range
- Responsible for all elements
of tyre ordering and stock control, which requires interdepartmental
communication with key stakeholders internally, e.g. logistics (LSCM)
and finance.
- Interaction with other entities
- Responsible for accurate and
timely reporting to Bridgestone entities in Dubai, Europe and Japan on a
monthly basis.
- Travel to sites where tyres
used (e.g. mines) and distributor offices in West Africa once/twice per
month as required
Requirements
